Fires caused by the crash of enemy UAVs are still being extinguished in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone.
This was reported by the State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management, Censor.NET reports.
What is known
The agency said that forces from enterprises under the management of the State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management, units of the State Emergency Service, and specialized equipment had been involved in extinguishing the fires.
On June 29, a fire in one of the nature protection research divisions was fully extinguished. Work is continuing in other areas to localize the fires and prevent them from spreading.
Forces and resources of a combined unit of the State Emergency Service in the Kyiv region have been sent to the Exclusion Zone.
Video surveillance and the capabilities of Ukraine’s Defense Forces are being used to monitor the situation.
Radiation background
According to the State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management, radiation monitoring is being carried out continuously by an automated monitoring system. No exceedances of control levels for the ambient dose equivalent rate of gamma radiation have been recorded.
The situation remains under constant control.
