Russians attacked Sofiivka in Donetsk region: two people were killed and two wounded, and 141 private homes were damaged. PHOTOS

Russian troops have carried out strikes on the village of Sofiivka in the Kramatorsk community in the Donetsk region, resulting in deaths and injuries.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, according to Censor.NET.

Casualties of the attack

"Two people have been killed and two others wounded as a result of Russian shelling in the village of Sofiivka in the Kramatorsk district in the Donetsk region," the statement reads.

It is noted that during the emergency rescue operations, emergency services recovered a body from the rubble of a private house. Rescuers cleared away around 2 tonnes of building debris. The operation has been completed.

It is also reported that the enemy strike damaged 141 private homes.

Clean-up operations

Three fires broke out as a result of the shelling. Firefighters extinguished a blaze in an outbuilding; they also contained a fire in a private house and two civilian vehicles, as well as damaged structural elements of the private house.

However, due to the threat of renewed shelling, firefighting operations had to be suspended.
