Russian forces attacked the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions with drones, aerial bombs and artillery. Two people were killed and nine injured in the Kharkiv region, whilst in the Donetsk region there were two fatalities and 27 injured.

Two people were killed and nine injured in the Kharkiv region as a result of Russian attacks
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops attacked Kharkiv and eight settlements in the region. As a result of the shelling, two people were killed and a further nine were injured, according to Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
In the village of Lebiazhe, two women aged 66 and 73 were killed. Two other women were injured. In Kharkiv, a 43-year-old woman was injured, whilst another suffered an acute stress reaction.
The enemy launched a drone strike on the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv.
In total, across the region, the use of two ‘Molniya’-type UAVs, six FPV drones and 54 unmanned aerial vehicles, the type of which is yet to be determined, was recorded.
A car was damaged in Kharkiv.
In the Bohodukhiv district, a combine harvester, 10 hectares of wheat, four private houses, outbuildings and power lines were damaged.
In the Kupiansk district, a private house was damaged. In the Izium district, a private house and a nursery school were damaged.
In Derhachi, Kharkiv district, a bank, a shop and a pharmacy were damaged. In the Lozova district, two private homes were damaged.
The most damage was recorded in the village of Lebiazhe in the Chuhuiv district: 28 private homes, three outbuildings and 11 cars.
Two people were killed and 27 injured in Donetsk Oblast
On 20 August, the police recorded 1,301 strikes by Russian forces along the front line and in residential areas of the Donetsk region. Twelve settlements came under fire, according to the regional police.
A total of 132 civilian facilities were damaged, including 82 residential buildings.
In Kramatorsk, Russian forces carried out strikes using seven KAB-250 aerial bombs and drones. One person was killed and a further ten were injured.
Apartment blocks and private houses, cars, a café, a shopping centre, shops, an administrative building and an infrastructure facility were damaged.
In Druzhkivka, one civilian was killed as a result of the shelling, and a further six civilians were injured.
Russian forces attacked Sloviansk with ‘Tornado-S’ multiple launch rocket systems and drones. Seven people were injured.
Two blocks of flats and 14 private homes, a shop and five cars were damaged.
In Krasnotorka, a civilian was injured and 19 houses were damaged as a result of a strike involving five KAB-250 bombs. One person was injured each in Bilenke, Petrivka Persha and Maiaky.
