She filmed military unit in Khmelnytskyi region: Russian agent sentenced to 15 years. PHOTOS
A 27-year-old woman caught by law enforcement officers in Khmelnytskyi in April last year collaborating with the Russian Federation was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of her property.
This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, according to Censor.NET.
What is known
Prosecutors proved that in March 2025, she agreed to cooperate with a representative of Russia’s FSB and carry out his assignments.
The convicted woman rented accommodation opposite one of the city’s military units and installed special software on her phone that recorded the time and GPS coordinates of filming. For two weeks, she systematically photographed and filmed the military facility and sent the collected materials to the Russian intelligence officer. She received payments for her treason through a cryptocurrency wallet.
High treason
The court found the woman guilty of high treason committed under martial law, pursuant to Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. She was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of her property.
During a search of the rented apartment, investigators seized a mobile phone containing correspondence with a representative of the Russian intelligence service. It was also established that the convicted woman had previously been held liable for drug-related offences.
The woman had remained in custody since her arrest.
