Roman Buzile, a 33-year-old Ukrainian soldier, athlete and graduate of the Kharkiv State Academy of Physical Culture, was killed in action whilst fighting the Russian invaders.

What is known about the fallen hero?
As noted, Roman was born in Kharkiv. It was here, in his hometown, that he began his sporting career, taking up cycling. He was a multiple champion and medallist at Ukrainian road cycling championships in various age categories, a winner and medallist at international competitions, and a participant in the World and European Junior Championships.
In sport, he always strove for victory, and when Ukraine needed defending, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine without hesitation.
As part of the 80th Separate Galician Airborne Assault Brigade, Roman bravely defended Ukraine’s territorial integrity and independence.
He was only 33 years old…
This week, the hero was laid to rest in his hometown of Kharkiv.
