A major fire has broken out at the ‘Proton-PM’ rocket and space industry plant in Perm, Russia.

Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations reported a fire at a ‘manufacturing plant’ in the village of Novye Lyady, with the area affected by the blaze totalling 2,100 square metres. No reports of casualties have been received.
Locals say the facility in question is the "Proton-Perm Motors" plant.
"Proton-PM" is one of the largest enterprises in the Russian rocket and space industry, specialising in the production of liquid-fuelled rocket engines.
The company manufactures engines for the "Proton" and "Angara" launch vehicles. It is part of the state corporation "Roscosmos" and the integrated structure of the "Energomash" research and production association.
