Russian forces attack three warehouses storing medicines. PHOTOS

The enemy continues to deliberately attack facilities within the healthcare system. This time, three buildings involved in supplying Ukraine with medicines and medical supplies were struck in a single day.

MP and chairman of the Committee on National Health Mykhailo Radutskyi reported this, according to Censor.NET.

The facilities in question were a Biocon warehouse, a Teva warehouse and a World Health Organization warehouse.

He stressed that such actions constitute an attack on the provision of necessary treatment to Ukrainian patients.

Biocon warehouse

The greatest losses recorded so far occurred at the Biocon warehouse in the Boryspil district. The Russian attack completely destroyed one of Ukraine’s largest pharmaceutical logistics complexes, covering about 30,000 square metres. Preliminary estimates put the damage at billions of hryvnias.

Teva and WHO warehouses

The enemy also attacked a warehouse belonging to Teva Ukraine, one of the leaders in Ukraine’s pharmaceutical market.
A WHO warehouse storing humanitarian medical supplies for Ukraine was also damaged.

"In effect, the Russians struck different links in the supply chain in a single day, from large commercial stocks of medicines to humanitarian medical reserves. The attack could affect the availability of certain medicines," Radutskyi said.

At the same time, he stressed that it was premature to speak of a general medicine shortage in Ukraine.
