Israeli police officers have arrived in Uman, where they will work alongside their Ukrainian colleagues to maintain public order and ensure safety in the area where the Bratslav Hasidim live and gather for their pilgrimage during the Jewish New Year celebrations.

What is known
As noted, the foreign law enforcement officers will remain in the city until the end of Rosh Hashanah.
During a coordination meeting, representatives from both countries agreed on joint measures to effectively ensure order and security in the pilgrimage area.
At present, Israeli police officers, together with Ukrainian law enforcement officers, State Emergency Service rescue workers and National Guard personnel, are carrying out joint patrols and providing guidance to pilgrims.
The police added that the situation in Uman remains stable and under control.

It was previously reported that, due to Rosh Hashanah, entry to and movement within Uman would be restricted from 4 to 17 September.
