According to the U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa, USS Carney (DDG 64) departed Naval Station Rota, Spain, Oct. 18, 2016 after a scheduled maintenance availability.
Carney, an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer, will continue its routine patrol in the U.S. 6th fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe.
