The rescuers freed 104 vehicles trapped by heavy snow in the Khmelnytskyi region.
As reported by Censor.NET citing local department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the rescuers were involved in more than 40 cases of towing and pulling out vehicles that stuck on the snow-covered highways Jan. 7, 8.
The members of the State Emergency Service rescued 104 vehicles, including cars, trucks and buses, trapped by heavy snow. They were carrying 375 people including 70 children. The rescuers towed ambulances hurrying to patients or expectant mothers more than 10 times.
Over 160 rescuers and 40 off-road vehicles were overcoming the consequences of rough weather and assisting the road-users.
