"Crimea is Ukraine": activists picket Russia embassy in Kyiv. PHOTOS

On the anniversary of the occupation "referendum" in Crimea, Governmental Initiative of Yarosh (DIYA) public movement staged a picket near the Russian embassy in Kyiv.

"The picket is intended to remind the whole world about the barbarous geopolitical crime committed in the 21st century right in the center of Europe. We want to call upon the diplomats across the world to use all levers of influence to restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine," the organizers said.

Andrii "Bohema" Sharaskin, a Donetsk airport defender, took part in the picket.

DIYA said similar pickets were being held at the Russian consulates in Odesa and Lviv.
