In a military hospital, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin awarded the Order of Courage to Anatoliy Zuyev, who is accused of torturing and killing people in Bucha. Zuyev himself and the Kremlin’s press service partially confirmed the truth of these accusations.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the Russian telegram channel"We can explain".
During the celebration of the "Day of Russia", Putin awarded Russian soldiers "wounded during the repulsion of the Ukrainian offensive" at the Central Clinical Military Hospital. Anatoliy Zuyev was also among those awarded.
As early as March 2022, his name appeared on the DIU website in the "war criminals" section. According to the Myrotvorets website, Zuyev took part in torture, rape, looting, and murder in the Kyiv region, in particular in Bucha, Hostomel, and Borodianka.
The authors of Myrotvorets noted that Zuyev serves in a battalion group of the 37th Motorised Rifle Brigade as a flamethrower platoon commander. The brigade was formed in Buryatia. A year later, this information was confirmed by the Russian authorities - it was as a flamethrower platoon commander that Zuyev received the order.
According to the TASS propaganda agency, "during the four-hour battle, the personnel of the unit under the command of Senior Lieutenant Zuyev inflicted damage on the enemy infantry". Despite being wounded, Zuyev himself continued to lead the group "until the nationalists were completely destroyed".
