The Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi, congratulated the paratroopers.
"On your professional holiday, I want to thank you for your courage, bravery and heroism during the defense of our country. Thanks to your determination, last year it was possible to liberate the Kharkiv region from the enemy. You were in the advance guard of the forces that drove the occupier and liberated Ukrainian territories. Paratroopers are always distinguished by high professionalism, dedicated service to the Ukrainian people, readiness to fight to the last for freedom, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Today, side by side with your comrades, you are ready to repel the attacks of the Russian occupiers and drive the enemy out of our territory. You are always the first! You're where it's hardest.
On this day, let's bow our heads and honor the memory of the fallen paratroopers who gave their lives in the fight for the future victory!" said Syrskyi.
"The Day of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is a day of an elite community where the spirit of courage and devotion to the country, the spirit of teamwork, the desire to be the best, to face any challenges, to overcome the impossible reigns. Hardened in the toughest battles, you are reliable, brave and persistent. Warriors who are proud at all times. Warriors who live by honor, determination and courage. Thank you to each of you for your selfless service, resilience and patriotism. In reverence and sorrow, I bow my head to the blessed memory of the fallen heroes-paratroopers. Glory to the Air Assault Forces! Glory to Ukraine!", - said the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhii Shaptala.
