Zelenskyy: We remember all Ukrainians in Russian captivity. VIDEO

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s address to the citizens of Ukraine at the end of the 679th day of the war with Russia.

The corresponding video was published by the presidential press service, Censor.NET reports.

"Today, despite everything, despite all the challenges, we have good news for a long time. We managed to free more than 200 of our people from Russian captivity. Soldiers and - most importantly - civilians. We remember all Ukrainians who are in Russian captivity. There was a long pause in the exchanges, but there was no pause in the negotiations on exchanges. We are using every opportunity, trying all options for mediation. At every international meeting that can help, we raise the issue of the return of our prisoners. And we will continue to work to return our people... All of them.

Now I am glad that we managed to unblock the exchange. Soldiers of the Armed Forces and the National Guard have been brought home. Border guards, navy men. Most of them are soldiers and sergeants. But also officers. A really good day for Ukraine. Some of our soldiers are defenders of Mariupol and Azovstal. Some of those released now, even at the beginning, were not known to be in captivity. They were considered missing. It is very important to keep hope alive.

I thank the entire team that has worked and is working to keep the exchanges going! Budanov, Yermak, Usov, Maliuk, Klymenko. And, of course, I thank each of our soldiers on the front line who take the occupiers prisoner and replenished our exchange fund. The more Russians we take prisoners, the more effective the negotiations on exchanges will be," Zelenskyy said.
