President Volodymyr Zelenskyy introduced the new Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, Oleksandr Lytvynenko.
The head of state announced this on social media, Censor.NET reports.
The Head of State emphasized that the renewed work of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine was starting and defined its priorities.
Zelenskyy named greater predictability as the first of them. According to him, the NSDC has every opportunity to combine the analytical potential of Ukrainian intelligence and other bodies operating in the field of national security.
He noted that the second priority was to continue fulfilling all current tasks of the NSDC system, especially in the area of sanctions policy.
The Head of State emphasized that the third important point is doctrinal work.
He named cybersecurity and information as the fourth important priority.
The last point was the work of the Headquarters, draft decisions, and control over the implementation of decisions. According to him, all this, of course, should be continued.
As a reminder, Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Oleksii Danilov from the post of NSDC Secretary and appointed Oleksandr Lytvynenko to the position.
Lytvynenko previously worked at the Main Department of Government Communications of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Department of Information and Analytical Support of the Security Service of Ukraine, was the director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies, served as Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council from April 2014 to August 2019, and has been head of the Foreign Intelligence Service since July 23, 2021.
