In his evening video address, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the authorities who were supposed to control the MSEC should be held personally responsible.
According to Censor.NET, the video was published on the President's Telegram channel.
"I held the National Security and Defense Council. On numerous facts of violations of the MSEC and fake disabilities for officials.
These are not only prosecutors, by the way. There are hundreds of such cases of obviously unjustified disabilities among customs, tax, Pension Fund, and local administration officials. All of this needs to be dealt with thoroughly and promptly. The MSEC system should be eliminated.
But for real and systemic changes, it is necessary to fully digitalize all stages of disability determination. Government officials - in the Ministry of Digital Transformation, in the digital team of the Ministry of Defense - have those who can ensure the relevant changes.
The problem is not only that officials make themselves disabled through connections, but also that people who have been genuinely disabled - in particular, in combat - often cannot get the appropriate status and fair payments. The government has little time to fix this.
There must be personal responsibility and personnel decisions in the central government for this situation - along the vertical control of the MSEC. The decision of the National Security and Defence Council now provides for a full audit of pensions and other accruals for all officials who have 'organised' disabilities for themselves," Zelenskyy said.
