New Commander-in-Chief Deputy Apostol will be responsible for quality of training of our soldiers, - Zelenskyy. VIDEO

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's address to Ukrainians at the end of the 1010th day of the war with Russia.

The corresponding video was published by the presidential press service, Censor.NET reports.

"Together with the Commander-in-Chief, Oleksandr Syrskyi, we have decided today that it is necessary to replace the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Major General Mykhailo Drapatyi was appointed as the new commander. Also, Colonel Oleh Apostol has been appointed as the new Deputy Commander-in-Chief - he previously commanded the 95th Airborne Brigade.

Now it is Oleh Apostol who will be responsible for the new quality of training of our soldiers, and he has full support at all levels to ensure that this is the case. The Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are the backbone of the army. And a lot depends for Ukraine on how effectively the structure of the Ground Forces and the entire Defence and Security Forces of Ukraine will work. Changes are needed - changes in human resources management that will ensure more results on the battlefield.

He also appointed Colonel Pavlo Palisa, a combat commander and commander of the 93rd Kholodnyi Yar Brigade, as Deputy Head of the Office. He is well aware of what is happening in the brigades, at the front, and I need such a person to know exactly what is happening on a daily basis directly from the front," Zelenskyy said.

As a reminder, in May 2024, Censor.NET published a story: Brigadier Pavlo Palisa: "The strategic task of this year for the Russian armed forces is to reach the administrative border of Donetsk and Luhansk regions"
