Zelenskyy has approved appointment of more than 30 ambassadors: among them - Dzhelial and Melnyk. VIDEO

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has approved the appointment of more than 30 new Ukrainian ambassadors.

He said this in his evening video address, Censor.NET reports.

Thus, Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Nariman Dzhelial became Ukraine's ambassador to Turkey.

Alona Hetmanchuk, director of the New Europe Centre, was appointed Ukraine's representative to NATO.

Andrii Melnyk has been appointed Ukraine's representative to the UN. Previously, he was Ukraine's ambassador to Germany.

"Today, our diplomatic team approved the list of new Ukrainian ambassadors. I approved more than 30 decisions. Among them are Nariman Dzhelial to Turkey, Alona Hetmanchuk as Ukraine's representative to NATO, and Andrii Melnyk as Ukraine's representative to the UN. These and other decrees will be issued shortly, in accordance with diplomatic procedures," the Head of State said.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Netherlands Oleksandr Karasevych.
