Large-scale fire in Leningrad region of Russia, explosions heard. VIDEO
On the morning of 10 January, local residents of Gatchina, Leningrad Region, heard dull explosions and then saw a huge column of smoke. The fire broke out in the industrial zone at around 6am. The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by Russian Telegram channels.
Later, it became known that the fire broke out on the territory of an acetone production plant. Huge flames engulfed 1600 square metres of a two-storey building on Industrialna Street.
Emergency services are working at the scene and have detected an acetone spill. The fire has been assigned rank 2.
