In the eastern sector, Russian troops continue unsuccessful attempts to break through the defences of the Ukrainian military. Another enemy attack in the Vovchansk direction was stopped by the 71st separate hunting ranger brigade, effectively using drones, artillery and small arms.
The enemy tried to attack with armoured vehicles, but one of the paratroopers hit the MTLB with a precise shot from a disposable grenade launcher. After that, the occupiers hurried up and started storming the building, which the Ukrainian military had turned into a defensive point.
The battle lasted about three hours. The paratroopers called for reinforcements and held their positions until the arrival of infantry and assault units. Together, with the support of border guards from the Forpost brigade, the building was cleared and six Russian soldiers were captured. The prisoners, realising the hopelessness of the situation, thanked the Ukrainian soldiers for saving their lives, Censor.NET reports.
