Over the past month and a half, the Russian army has not had any success in the area of responsibility of the 3rd SAB, although it has identified this area as a priority.
Andriy Biletsky, commander of the 3rd SAB, spoke about the operational situation in an interview with Army TV, Censor.NET reports.
According to him, in the Kharkiv region, the Third Assault Brigade is successfully defending Borova, the capture of which is an operational objective for the Russians to further reach the Oskil River. The enemy is trying to exhaust Ukrainian troops with continuous offensive tactics, although it is not succeeding.
"(The enemy - Ed.) took zero positions. Moreover, we recaptured the village of Nadiya in one day... We took a good piece of territory they had been fighting for for many months and where they wiped out two regiments - the 752nd and 254th," Biletskyi said.
The Third Assault Brigade is opposed by the 1st Tank Army of the Russian Federation, which "fanatically attacks" with equipment and loses it in large quantities, in particular due to the lack of adequate planning.
"They are switching to camel cavalry, they have less and less equipment. Thanks to their efforts, we are in first place among the brigades in terms of FPV drone strikes. Basically, I can thank them," Biletskyi said.
Another enemy formation, the 20th Combined Arms Army of the Russian Federation, operates mainly in small infantry groups. Their three offensive attempts in 2024 ended in "absolute failure" and huge losses.
"Because of this, they removed the Chief of Staff of the 20th Army, the Commander of the 20th Army, the Commander of the 3rd Mechanised Division of the 20th Army. They even officially recognised them as 'missing in action' because of the heavy losses, as they call them," the corps commander said.
According to him, the enemy has intensified its work in the areas of electronic warfare, significantly increased the number of calculations and the use of unmanned systems, and managed to improve the situation with the number of artillery units. The enemy has now moved further south and had some success in the area of Ivanivske and Novolyubivka. But, according to Biletskyi, the occupiers' advance there will come to a complete halt in the coming weeks.
As previously reported, between October 2024 and January 2025, units of the Third Assault Brigade destroyed a record number of enemy targets with attack drones, becoming the absolute leader among all line brigades of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
