Russian ballistic missile strike hits an ordinary city street in Sumy on Palm Sunday.
According to Censor.NET, this was stated by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"A terrible strike of Russian ballistic missiles on Sumy. Enemy missiles hit an ordinary city street, an ordinary life: houses, educational institutions, cars on the street... And this is on the day when people go to church: Palm Sunday, the feast of the Lord's Entry into Jerusalem," the President wrote.
"According to preliminary data, we are talking about dozens of dead and wounded civilians. Only bastards can do this. Taking the lives of ordinary people. My condolences to the families and friends," the President said.
We need a tough reaction from the world. The United States, Europe, everyone in the world who wants this war and killing to end. Russia wants exactly this kind of terror and is dragging this war out. Without pressure on the aggressor, peace is impossible. Talking has never stopped ballistic missiles and bombs. We need to treat Russia as a terrorist deserves. I thank everyone who is with Ukraine and helps us protect lives," Zelenskyy said.
As a reminder, on 13 April 2025, Russian troops attacked Sumy with ballistic missiles. Significant destruction and a large number of casualties were reported.
