Putin announces "Easter truce" - Kremlin (updated). VIDEO

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has allegedly announced an Easter truce.

This was reported in the Kremlin, Censor.NET informs citing Russian media.

It is also noted that Putin is currently meeting with Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Gerasimov.

According to Putin, the Easter truce will take effect today at 18:00 Russian time. He allegedly ordered a halt to all hostilities during the Easter truce.

The Easter ceasefire will last until 00.00 am from Sunday to Monday, Putin said.

The Russian dictator also said that Ukraine should follow Russia's example of a truce.

"We assume that the Ukrainian side will follow our example. At the same time, our troops must be ready to repel possible ceasefire violations and provocations by the enemy, any of its aggressive actions," Putin said.
