Commander of Unmanned Systems Forces Robert "Madyar" Brovdi has released an original video calling on civilians with no combat experience to join the USF.
This was reported by Censor.NET.
"We are not only looking for ‘Rexes.’ We also need nerds: smart and skilled. And it is not necessary for them to be both. We are also looking for those who have never held a machine gun, only a 'mouse'. Those who will fight without leaving their monitor or tablet. We need people who will use drones to relentlessly crush the worms from a distance. That is, with fire in their eyes and hatred for the enemy. People as cool as our brothers and sisters in this video, who have already joined the USF. Stop running away from the army. Fly! Join the Unmanned Systems Forces! You are needed here and now. You will serve where you choose and for whom you choose personally," Madyar wrote on his Telegram channel.
In addition, Madyar said that during the first week of the new USF recruitment drive, they had already received almost 5,000 applications.
"4954 applications to join the USF were received during the first week. That's one application every two minutes from the moment it started. No rose-tinted glasses. A year and a half ago, when recruiting for the then 414th separate regiment ‘Madyar's Birds’, there were 50 applicants per place, and we recruited only a few hundred people. Now we are talking about 15,000+ in the interests of an entire branch of the armed forces - 12 units of the Unmanned Systems Forces. Times have changed, but the war continues," wrote the commander of the USF.
As a reminder, Madyar recently announced the expansion of the USF to 5% of the total number of the Defence and Security Forces of Ukraine and announced a large-scale recruitment drive: 12 units have opened more than 15,000 vacancies, half of which are for civilian specialities. Today, the USF make up only 2% of the army, but they are responsible for every third enemy target destroyed.
