Kyiv police have announced that they suspect a soldier of detonating a grenade in an apartment in Obolon, killing one man and injuring another.

Details of the incident
As noted, the incident occurred yesterday at around 2:00 a.m. in one of the apartments in the Obolon district of the capital. A 29-year-old soldier, who is on leave, came to visit a friend, where they were drinking alcohol in a group of seven people.
Later, when three men were in the kitchen, the perpetrator detonated an F-1 grenade during a sudden conflict. The explosion killed the 45-year-old owner of the apartment. Another guest, a 36-year-old local resident, was hospitalised.
The suspect was detained
Police detained the suspect in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. He also suffered shrapnel wounds to his leg and is currently under the supervision of doctors and law enforcement officers.
Investigators from the Obolon Police Department, under the procedural guidance of the specialised prosecutor's office in the defence sector of the Central Region, announced to the perpetrator that he was suspected of committing the following offences under Part 2 of Article 15, Paragraph 1, and Part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for the attempted murder of two or more persons and under Article 115(2)(5) of the Criminal Code for intentional murder committed in a manner dangerous to the lives of many persons.
The penalty provides for imprisonment for a term of ten to fifteen years or life imprisonment.
