Operators of 1020th ZRAP landed 29 enemy "Gerbera" drones. VIDEO

Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners continue to effectively counter new developments from the Russian military-industrial complex, which the occupiers are launching en masse into our airspace. According to Censor.NET, fighters from the 1020th Anti-Aircraft Missile Artillery Regiment (ZRAP) demonstrated phenomenal results, destroying 29 Gerbera-type drones at once.

This UAV model has long ceased to be just a cheap decoy for air defence forces.

How dangerous are Gerberas?

Experts note that the enemy has significantly modernised these devices, turning them into dangerous instruments of war:

  • Multipurpose platform: Whereas "Gerberas" were previously used as imitation drones to exhaust our air defence, they now serve as relays for other drones.

  • Strike potential: Some of the downed aircraft were equipped with warheads and cameras for use as kamikaze drones.

  • Evolution of means: Due to their low cost and the possibility of installing additional equipment, the occupiers are trying to saturate the sky with them, but the 1020th ZRAP has proven that quantity does not always mean quality.

"Katsaps have long since turned the 'Gerberas' from imitation drones into a multi-purpose platform that can act as both a repeater and a strike target. But for our guys, this is just another target on the list," says the commentary to the video of the successful work of Ukrainian soldiers.
