Iran has launched a ballistic missile strike on the Ras Laffan industrial area in Qatar.

According to Censor.NET, the attack caused significant damage to the gas processing complex located in the area, which is a key centre for the production of liquefied natural gas.

A massive fire broke out at the site following the strike, as seen in footage shared online.

"Civil defence is battling a fire in the Ras Laffan area following the Iranian shelling," the Qatari Ministry of the Interior reported.

QatarEnergy confirmed the attack and reported significant damage.
