Druzhkivka is located 13 km from front line and is under constant shelling: city is without electricity and gas. VIDEO
Druzhkivka, a town on the front line in the Donetsk region, is constantly affected by hostilities due to its proximity to the front line, which makes life extremely difficult for the civilian population.
According to Censor.NET, the distance to Russian military positions is around 13 km, drones are regularly spotted in the air, and the effects of shelling are observed almost continuously.
The city lacks a stable supply of electricity and gas, forcing residents to use alternative methods of heating and cooking, including potbelly stoves and open fires in courtyards.
The population has shrunk significantly: whereas Druzhkivka was previously home to around 60,000 people, only a small number of residents remain, continuing to stay in the city despite the difficult security situation.
