Failure of combined assault on Kostiantynivka: 28th SMB destroyed enemy groups advancing from four directions. VIDEO
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the Ukrainian Defence Forces demonstrated exemplary resilience by repelling a large-scale combined assault by Russian troops. The brunt of the attack was borne by soldiers of the 28th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign, in coordination with neighbouring units. This was reported by Censor.NET.
The occupiers devised a complex attack plan, attempting to break through from four directions simultaneously. As a diversionary manoeuvre from the Toretsk direction, two tanks reinforced with additional armour were deployed. At the same time, three infantry groups were to launch an assault:

The first group was advancing in the Ivanopillia area;

The second group attempted to break through on motorbikes along the road to Pokrovsk;

The third group was moving along the railway line.
Despite the enemy’s hopes for the element of surprise and the complexity of the manoeuvres, Ukrainian defenders detected and stopped all enemy groups in time.
Results of combat operations:

Armoured vehicles: One enemy tank destroyed.

Manpower: At least 8 occupiers eliminated.

Prisoners: One invader has been captured and is providing testimony.
