140 days in hell of Lyman sector: incredible survival story of infantrymen of "Silver Trio" unit. VIDEO

Infantrymen from the "Silver Trio" unit of the "Pomsta" Assault Guard Brigade have demonstrated exceptional resilience by holding their defences in the Lyman sector for 140 days. This was reported by Censor.NET, citing a report by "Suspilne".

Over almost five months of continuous fighting, the defenders endured numerous artillery shellings, constant attacks by enemy FPV drones and direct clashes with the occupiers. Soldiers with the call signs "Lapa" and "Malyi" shared candid recollections of what a war of attrition looks like.

On the conditions of survival: The soldiers admit that conditions were at the limits of human endurance. "Bitter cold, bestial hunger, dehydration and the desire to simply escape from there," recalls one of the infantrymen. The constant shortage of resources and the hostile environment demanded maximum concentration from the fighters.

On the fighting and psychological pressure: The defence was accompanied by constant tension. One of the soldiers said he stopped taking off his body armor even whilst sleeping after a Russian occupier once tried to enter their dugout.

Immediately after their rotation, the soldiers spoke of the enemy’s changing tactics, the importance of mutual support, and the simple human desires that emerge after emerging from the ‘zero zone’. Despite the extreme hardships, the ‘Silver Trio’ unit fulfilled its mission, preventing the enemy from breaching the defences in the designated sector.
