In Kyiv, law enforcement officers held two drivers accountable for systematically violating traffic rules and creating hazards on the capital's roads.

According to Censor.NET, this is stated in an announcement by the First Deputy Chief of the Patrol Police Department, Oleksii Biloshytskyi.

Violations on central streets and dangerous behavior

According to the police, one of the drivers was operating a Range Rover and staging high-speed races along the city's central streets. He showcased his actions on social media, posting the corresponding videos.

Another driver in a BMW also repeatedly violated traffic rules. He drove through the central streets of the capital, creating hazardous traffic situations and performing drifts.

The police quickly identified both offenders and drew up the relevant administrative materials against them.

Vehicle inspection and possible criminal offence

During the vehicle inspection, law enforcement officers found evidence of an offence under Article 290 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This concerns the destruction, forgery, or alteration of vehicle identification numbers of the car's components and assemblies.

An investigative and operational group was called to the scene. The cars of both drivers were towed to an impound lot, and the information was entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations.

The offenders could face a fine of 150 to 250 tax-free minimum incomes of citizens, correctional labor for up to two years, or restriction of liberty for up to three years.
