What is known?

The targets are located 1,500 kilometres from Ukraine’s state border.

"Ukrainian drones struck the production facilities of the ‘Bashneft-Novoyl’ and ‘Bashneft-Ufanaftokhim’ refineries, which are key components of the Russian Federation’s fuel and energy complex. Fires broke out at these sites following the explosions. Available media footage confirms at least two separate fires. The enterprises’ ABT units, which are the ‘heart’ of the refineries and carry out primary oil refining, are ablaze," reads the statement from the Security Service of Ukraine.

SSU drones also struck the "Poltavska" oil depot in the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation.

"This is a large complex for the reception, storage and dispatch of diesel fuel and petrol. Its tank farm comprises 28 storage tanks," the SSU noted.
