Servicemen of the Ukrainian Defence Forces have raised the national flag on the Kinburn Spit. The ‘Odesa’ Operational-Tactical Group has released details and footage from the scene. According to Censor.NET, the change in the operational situation in this section of the southern front was the result of sustained fire on the positions of the Russian occupying forces.
According to an official statement from the military command, units of the Southern Defence Forces forced the enemy to abandon their previously established defences.
"As a result of heavy fire, the Southern Defence Forces forced the occupiers to retreat from their positions, the evacuation of surviving personnel is underway, and the occupiers are abandoning their defensive lines," states the report from the Odesa Operational-Tactical Group.
