Back in October 2019, Lukashenko and Zelenskyy warmly hugged each other in Zhytomyr, where they told one another that "we are such brotherly peoples, so why do we need borders?"
There was also the belief that no one would definitely attack Kyiv from Belarus, that in February 2022, our authorities blindly ignored CIA data, and that then-Defense Minister Reznikov publicly said that Khrenin had promised him that Lukashenko would definitely not attack.
Today’s Belarus has become a bridgehead for Russian scare tactics.
One day, they promise to scare Kyiv with nuclear weapons; another day, there is this real threat involving repeaters that help adjust strikes on the rear.

Earlier, Zelenskyy said that repeaters on the territory of Belarus that helped Russian drones adjust strikes on Ukraine had stopped operating on June 22. He was briefed on this by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi and intelligence. According to Zelenskyy, it is currently unknown whether these systems were dismantled.
