President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the German Foreign Minister, Johann Wadephul.

Zelenskyy announced this on his Telegram channel, according to Censor.NET.

What they discussed

As noted, the parties discussed strengthening air defence and support for Ukrainians ahead of the winter period.

"This is the number one priority, and I am grateful to Germany for its leadership on this issue and its efforts to provide us with as much assistance as possible," the president said.

In addition, Zelenskyy and Wadepul discussed the work of the teams on the ‘Drone Deal’ agreement, with a view to signing the document in the near future.

Support for Ukraine

Zelenskyy also thanked the German minister for his visit to Ukraine, in particular to take part in the 9th International Veterans’ Forum, and for his forthcoming trip to regions of Ukraine where the situation is difficult due to Russian shelling.

"I am grateful to Germany and the German people for their significant support for our people and our struggle," the president added.
