Russians are preparing a "false flag operation" in Black Sea - US State Department
The Kremlin is likely preparing a false flag operation in the Black Sea amid Russia’s attacks on Ukraine’s port infrastructure.
This was stated by US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller, reports Censor.NЕТ with reference to Ukrinform.
"We have information that suggests that they (the Russian Federation - Ed.) are apparently preparing a false flag operation. They have threatened vessels operating in international waters, which led to the attack on the Danube today," he said.
According to the spokesman, the United States will continue to consult with partners in the region on alternative ways to export grain from Ukraine.
Miller added that there is no ideal solution that would allow Ukraine to ship the same amount of grain as during the Black Sea Grain Initiative without restoring sea routes.
