Ukrainian scouts say Serbian mercenary snipers join Donbas militants, lawmakers vow to inform NATO PA

Ukraine is set to inform the NATO Parliamentary Assembly on a group of Serbian mercenary snipers who have arrived in the Donbas to join the ranks of the combined Russian and terrorist forces.

As reported by Censor.NET citing UNIAN, the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) headquarters press center said that a group of Serbian mercenary snipers has arrived in the Donetsk sector.

“They are led by Dejan Beric, nom de guerre Deki, who has repeatedly visited Donbas to join the Russian occupation troops fighting against Ukraine’s Armed Forces.

“The Serbian mercenary snipers will reportedly be tasked to "eliminate the Ukrainian soldiers" along the contact line and commit provocations against civilians. They are betrayers of conscience and human values. They've been hired by the Kremlin for thirty pieces of silver to shed the blood of patriots and defenders of the Ukrainian soil. But the Ukrainian Army has people capable of offering a warm welcome to the uninvited guests and send them back where they belong to at the expense of the Russian Defense Ministry," the agency said.

Ukrainian Ambassador to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (Petro Poroshenko Block fraction MP) Iryna Friz wrote in this regard on the social media: "We draft an appeal to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly regarding this issue and I am sure that it is necessary to inform all international institutions on the shameful participation of Serbian mercenaries in hostilities against our state on the side of the Kremlin puppets.”

The lawmaker also expressed confidence that the mercenaries’ actions will be condemned by the international community. "I also expect the Serbian authorities to expand the list of 45 criminal cases filed against Serbian mercenaries fighting in the Donbas by adding into it more supporters of the ‘Russian world’ including their leader Dejan Beric, call sign Deki," the MP said.
