Pavlovskyi officially charged with masterminding Handziuk murder, - PGO

Larysa Sarhan, spokesperson for the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko, dwelled on charges brought against Ihor Pavlovskyi, an ex-aide for a member of Ukrainian parliament, who is suspected of involvement in the murder of Kateryna Handziuk.
"Ihor Pavlovskyi, whom the SBU officers detained in Kherson on Saturday, was placed in pre-trial detention by the Kyiv’s Shevchenkivskyi district court without bail option," she wrote on social media, Censor.NET reports.
"He was charged with offenses punishable by two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- part 3 of article 27 (Types of accomplices. The mastermind is the person who organized the commission of the crime (s) or supervised it (their) preparation or commission. The organizer is also the person who created a crime ring or a crime syndicate or who led it as well as the person who funded it or concealed the crimes committed by it);
- item 4,6,11,12 of part 2 of article 110 (premeditated murder committed with exceptional violence; for personal gain; committed under someone’s order; by prior agreement by a group of persons).
"Recall that the case is investigated by the Ukrainian SBU Security Service under the procedural direction of the Prosecutor General's Office," Sarhan said.
As reported, Kherson City Council executive officer, Kateryna Handziuk, who tried to deal with local separatists and harshly criticized the authorities, namely the law enforcement officials, was doused with acid in Kherson early on July 31.
On Aug. 2, she was urgently taken from Kherson to Kyiv by an air ambulance.
On Aug. 3, the law enforcers detained the person suspected of perpetrating attack on the activist.
She reportedly died of a blood clot in a Kyiv-based hospital on Nov. 4 after long treatment.
