Minister Kvitashvili Plans to Increase Doctors’ Wages
Head of the Health Ministry of Ukraine Alexander Kvitashvili hopes that one of the results of the reforms will be the increase of health workers’ salaries.
He stated this at a briefing on Wednesday, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.
"Salaries are what needs to be changed, it's natural," Kvitashvili said.
He predicted that as a result of the introduction of reforms in all sectors of the economy, including health care, the level of salaries of civil servants will increase, and people will go there not for "a cellphone and a black Volga" (Soviet and post-Soviet perks of civil service - ed.) but in order to do interesting things and make money."
"This is one of the objectives of this reform," Kvitashvili concluded.
