Eastern defense forces continue to conduct defensive operations, the situation remains tense but under control.

The report states: "On October 4, the enemy launched 3 missile attacks in Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions, conducted 5 air strikes. Active containment of the enemy offensive in Donetsk region continues. Defense forces gave a fierce rebuff to the enemy at the directions of Bilohorivka, Soledar, Avdiivka. The enemy involved artillery and heavy armored vehicles in combat clashes.
Since the beginning of the day the enemy launched 2 missile and 3 air strikes in Kharkiv region and carried out 1 remote mining of the area. The occupants fired 28 times at the positions of Ukrainian defenders with artillery and mortars and 11 times engaged in direct combat. No successes were achieved.
Since the beginning of the day the enemy fired 45 times at the positions of Ukrainian defenders in Luhansk region and tried to break through the defense line 8 times. They were unsuccessful.
In Donetsk region, the enemy carried out 1 air strike, 227 artillery attacks on the defensive positions of our soldiers, unsuccessfully conducted more than 40 attempts of assault attacks. Ukrainian forces withstood the onslaught and did not allow the invaders to break through.
Occupants conducted 1 missile and 1 air strike in Zaporizhzhia. They fired from cannon and rocket artillery about 30 times. The enemy did not dare to move to combat clashes in this direction.
Since the beginning of the day the enemy shelled 11 settlements in the area of responsibility of the eastern group of troops and damaged 19 civilian infrastructure objects.
Over 200 Ukrainian citizens were evacuated from the dangerous combat zone.
Mine clearance works in the de-occupied territories continue. About 700 explosive devices have been defused and over 25 hectares of Ukrainian territory have been inspected.
