Verdict in MH17 case will be announced today in Netherlands

The meeting should start at 02:00 p.m. The decision will be announced regarding all the accused in the case - Igor Girkin, Serhiy Dubinsky, Oleg Pulatov, and Leonid Kharchenko. According to one of the lawyers of the relatives of the dead passengers, none of them will appear in court. The prosecutor's office requests that all four defendants be sentenced to life imprisonment.

As reported, the passenger Boeing-777 of "Malaysia Airlines", which was performing flight MH17 from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, crashed in the temporarily occupied part of the Donetsk region on July 17, 2014. There were 283 passengers and 15 crew members on board the liner, all of them died.

The international investigative team concluded that the plane was shot down from the Buk anti-aircraft missile complex, which belongs to the 53rd anti-aircraft missile brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, stationed in Kursk.

On June 19, 2019, the investigative team named four suspects believed to be involved in the transportation and combat use of the Buk air defense system.
