Russia has probably run out of Iranian drone stocks, - British intelligence

Since February 15, the Russian Federation has not launched Iranian-made strike drones over Ukraine, which may indicate the exhaustion of their reserves.

This is reported in the defense intelligence report published on the Twitter of the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Censor.NET informs.

"There have been no reports of the use of Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles of unilateral action in Ukraine since approximately February 15, 2023. Before that, the Ukrainian armed forces reported that in the period from the end of January to the beginning of February 2023, at least 24 Shahed-136 UAVs were shot down and dozens were destroyed in the first few days of the year. The lack of OWA-UAV deployment likely indicates that Russia has exhausted its current stockpile," the report said.

At the same time, intelligence assumed that the Russian Federation would most likely seek to replenish the stock of attack drones.

"Although this weapon does not have a good record of destroying the intended targets, Russia probably views it as a useful decoy that can distract the Ukrainian air defense system from the more effective Russian cruise missiles," added the British intelligence.
