Scholz came to India. Talks about Russia’s war against Ukraine

One of the topics of the first state visit of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to India is the Russian Federation’s war against Ukraine.

"The two-day visit is aimed at deepening political and economic relations. Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine will also be an important topic," the chancellor's office said.
Before leaving for India, Scholz said at a briefing in Berlin: "At the international level, we are trying to make it clear that Russia stands alone in the world with its aggression against Ukraine. I am going on a state visit to India, which currently chairs the G20... I was I have been in close contact with Prime Minister Modi for several months and I will again be pushing our point of view there, our perspective on this conflict."
At a press conference after talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Scholz recalled that the war unleashed by Russia a year ago led to mass casualties and the destruction of infrastructure.
"This is a huge disaster, but first of all ... it destroys the fundamental principles of international relations ... The world suffers from this aggression," the head of the German government emphasized.
The program of Scholz's visit on February 25-26 includes negotiations in New Delhi and Bangalore.
Narendra Modi's government reportedly did not join Western countries in openly criticizing Moscow for Russia's war in Ukraine and instead dramatically increased purchases of Russian oil.
India's foreign minister previously said the war had disproportionately hit poor countries, raising fuel and food prices.
