The Cabinet of Ministers appointed Semen Kryvonos as the new director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.

This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Censor.NET reports.

"Semyon Kryvonos was just appointed as the head of the bureau at an extraordinary meeting. This process was preceded by a transparent competition, as a result of which the commission, which, in particular, consisted of international partners, identified three candidates for the position of NABU director," the message reads.

According to Shmyhal, Ukraine has now fulfilled all seven EU recommendations, which were determined upon receiving candidate status.

"Since the appointment of the NABU director, we also have a fully formed and independent anti-corruption infrastructure. Our team is committed to the principle of zero tolerance for corruption and support for anti-corruption institutions," the head of government added.
