Ambassador Tolkach: Ukrainian diplomats are working on Vucic-Zelenskyy talks

Ukraine’s diplomats have already begun work on holding talks between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic.
This was stated by Ambassador of Ukraine to Serbia Volodymyr Tolkach in an interview with Nova.rs, informs Censor.NЕТ referring to RBK-Ukraine.
According to him, Zelensky has not yet had talks with Vucic, as diplomats may not have done everything to make this conversation happen. But it is not easy to organize it, as it is necessary to carefully plan specific topics of discussion given the situation in Ukraine.
The ambassador was also asked whether Zelenskyy was planning a personal meeting or telephone talks with Vucic.
"Your question is a task that we (diplomats - ed.) have been given, and we are working on it. There are many issues that need to be discussed not only with the president, but also with many ministries and ministers. First of all, these are economic issues, our joint cooperation with international organizations, and, of course, there are political issues. We need to clarify all these issues and organize a telephone conversation or a meeting of the presidents," Tolkach said.
He clarified that mutual support between Serbia and Ukraine on the issue of territorial integrity and sovereignty of the two states should also be taken into account, as Belgrade does not recognize the Russian occupation and Ukraine does not recognize the independence of Kosovo.
The ambassador added that deepening cooperation between the two countries, including the signing of a free trade agreement, is also an important issue.
