Turkey will ratify Finland’s entry into NATO separately from Sweden, Erdogan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday that the country will ratify the protocol on Finland’s entry into the North Atlantic Treaty Organization separately from Sweden.
As Censor.NET informs, "Euro Integration" writes about this with reference to Yle.
According to Erdoğan, Finland has taken all the concrete steps necessary to obtain membership, and the approval of its accession to NATO can be put to a vote of the parliament.
Instead, the Turkish leader added, discussions will continue with Sweden. At the same time, Erdogan emphasized that Turkey adheres to the "open door" policy of the Alliance.
Thus, Ankara confirmed information that had been discussed unofficially before. According to sources, the Turkish parliament may ratify Finland's application to join NATO by mid-April.
In addition to Turkey, Hungary also has to ratify the accession of new members; the vote in the Hungarian parliament should take place on March 31.
It will be recalled that last year, Sweden and Finland jointly applied to join NATO after Russia's open attack on Ukraine, but faced unexpected objections from Turkey.
