The Russian occupiers began dropping grenades with chemical explosives from drones on the positions of Ukrainian forces, which is prohibited by international conventions.

As informs Censor.NЕТ with reference to LIGA.net, this was stated by Colonel Oleksiy Dmytrashkivsky, spokesman for the Joint Press Center of the Tauride Defense Forces, during a telethon.

"The enemy is using chemical munitions - dropping explosives with chlorpicrin from unmanned aerial vehicles," said the spokesman.

According to him, on March 23, the Russians had a "trial version" of dropping such explosives - one case was recorded. The next day they dropped two explosives, and yesterday - six.

He emphasized that such weapons are not conventional.

The first drone with such explosives, he said, was shot down a month ago in the Zaporizhzhia direction. The munition in the form of a K-51 grenade did not explode.

"If it hits a trench or a dugout, you need to have a gas mask or move away from that place, because it causes both vomiting and tears," noted Dmytrashkivsky.
