"It's a good, revolutionary event - the largest bank is opening its branch in Crimea," traitor Serhii Aksyonov said at the office opening ceremony.
In April, it was reported that Sberbank of Russia plans to open its first branches in the occupied Crimea this year in Simferopol and Yalta.
Sberbank of Russia previously announced the start of operations in Crimea. It was reported that by the end of February, 30 stationary ATMs were operational on the peninsula. At the beginning of March, the bank announced that it had started working with legal entities.
Currently, there is a limited number of banks operating in Crimea, all of them have been under external sanctions for many years.
