Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Havrylov said this in an interview with The Independent, reports Censor.NЕТ with reference to Ukrinform.
"We will launch our counteroffensive. When and where - it doesn't matter now. And when it happens, Russia will panic, you will see a lot of panic. They still do not understand that their propaganda shows a false picture of what is actually happening on the ground. This war is being won on the ground, not on TV screens, and not on the Internet," said the Deputy Defense Minister.
Gavrilov added that the Kremlin has hidden the true extent of Russia's losses in Ukraine from its own people, but will no longer be able to do so as Ukraine begins to regain its territories and these losses increase even more.
"You cannot deceive your people for many years... especially if they start to see the difference on the ground, they start to see the dead and wounded, they see families who have lost their husbands, their homes. You can't hide the death of your son, husband or brother," the Deputy Minister said.
Reznikov's deputy also expressed the opinion that he would not be surprised if one day, perhaps this month or next month, the world sees something that will contribute to the immediate collapse of Russia's strategy, its army or its economy.
"Bakhmut has demonstrated not only to us in Ukraine, but also to the enemy that there is no military solution for Russia in this war, even worse, that at the end of this war Russia will face a military catastrophe, and we will see it soon," Havrylov added.
