There is a risk of a decrease in support for Ukraine in the event of a counteroffensive failure, but only from those countries that were not active in supporting Ukraine before.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said this at a briefing after meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Sunday in Berlin, Censor.NET informs with reference to "Interfax-Ukraine".

"There is a risk that if offensive actions are not very successful, support will decrease. There are some states that are thinking about it, but they have not been very active in supporting Ukraine," said Scholz

"But we believe in success. We are motivated and almost ready for it," he said.

According to Zelensky, the topic of the supply of fighter jets will be raised at a meeting with Scholz later today.

"I will leave it for the second part of the conversation. This is a difficult issue. We are working on creating a coalition of fighter jets and my visits are partly aimed at this. I will appeal to Germany to support Ukraine in this coalition," he said.

As reported, commenting on Ukraine's readiness for a counteroffensive, Zelensky said: "A few more visits - that's it."

We will remind you that on May 13, the German Ministry of Defense announced a new package of military aid for Ukraine worth €2.7 billion. As the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak reported, the package will include 20 Marder BMPs, 30 Leopard tanks, four IRIS-T air defense systems, 200 reconnaissance UAVs, 100 armored vehicles, 100 rear support vehicles, 15 Gepard and a large amount of ammunition.

Zelensky arrived in Germany on May 14.
